AACA Constitution and Bilaws

Dues and Donations

  Annandale Acres Civic Association dues are $20.00 per year per family/household. 

  Dues may be paid in person or from this website.

Dues will be twenty dollars per year for each person, or twenty dollars of each household of two or more adults (18 years or older), or of each associative member. Persons applying for membership from July 1 to December 31 will be required only pay half of the applicable dues. Donations are welcome.

 

The Treasurer will receive funds of the Annandale Acres Civic Association. Disbursement of the funds shall be made only with the authorization of the Annandale Acres Civic Association. At the expiration of their term The Treasurer shall turn over to the successor all books, records, documents, monies, and property of the Association they may have in their possession.

AACA General Meeting Minutes
March 23 2023

 

A Meeting was convened at 7:10 P.M. with 12 members present

  • Presidents Message

    • Carolyn Freeman welcomed all and requested she be replaced as President after 12 years.

    • Elections are held in November.

  • Treasurer’s Report

    • Diane Tuluceanu reported $3,113.78 @ Truist Bank. 

    • Fees for Domain name $75.75

    • Plus any membership dues.

  • Introductions were given

  • Code Enforcement:

    • The role of the AACA is to help inform neighbors of county and State regulations and how to report them.

      • A Flyer for new residents Including County contact numbers and Web Site address To Sherry Hilsher

      • A call circle for AACA members to report and be informed of problems with code violations To Sherry Hilsher

      • No AACA group reporting. It was decided to report violation individually

    • Clearing land over 2500 square feet needs a permit as well as fill dirt or lot grading.

    • We are still zoned R1

    • Discussed HOA ?   Decided it was not feasible

    • Chau and I reported the lot clearing @ 7321 Auburn and storm water runoff issues to 4 county agencies.

  • Special Trash Pickup has been change to 3’ X 6’  

    • Posted on the website blog and Facebook Page.

  • Speeding and Excessive Traffic

    • No Parking signs are posted on the corner of Beverly and Calvert due to a traffic jam.

    • School Bus reported by Sherry Hilsher to VDOT on 03/24/2023

    • 7321 Calvert is an issue for running a business and excessive heavy load traffic on a daily basis.

      • Reported to Code Compliance, with no resolution, because they cannot see behind the fenced yard.

      • AZU’s getting around zoning

      • Research To Tom Conaway

  • Beverly Assisted living

  • Steve S Lee and Jeremey Allan were mentioned as political runners

  • Taste of Annandale was discussed and flyers left for handouts.

  • Need a contact at the Washington Gas Department. They seem to not communicate with residents.

    • Gas lines were installed with no prior notification.

    • Road repaving notification signs were posted at the request of Michael Hilsher

  • Underground Electrical Project update  

    • They are waiting on Transformers.

    • Since we did not authorize the update We are low down on the waiting list

  • Meeting Adjourned with a firm bang of the gavel  @ 8:35
